We’ve always loved working with theskimonster.com crew, and when they approached us to redesign their online store, we were on it. Over time business changes and so do websites. For example, three years ago, The Ski Monster sold only skis, and now their e-commerce solution has expanded to offer soft-goods, snowboards, wake surfboards and more. Because we anticipated change at the outset of our relationship, we were able to provide an entirely new user experience with only a minor retooling of the site architecture. In the end, we saved ourselves lots of time and theskimonster.com lots of money.
Oh, and did we mention the design is really freaking cool? Because Andrea is great at solving visual/creative problems, and because Jon spends lots of time on ski hills, we were able to pinpoint a vibe and execute it perfectly. The story is not so much about snow and water sports as an activity, but as a means to bring people together to have a good time. Featuring a blog, social network links and feeds, the site is designed to connect people to the sports they love and to the people with whom they do them.
Have a great summer theskimonster.com crew. We imagine the new boat that kicks up a 20-foot surf wave means lots of “product research.”
